How awesome did Team USA look last night at the closing ceremonies!? While I tip my hat to Canada for their admirable and affable hosting efforts, I was proud to be an American when the athletes entered the arena last night looking so dapper. Kudos to Mr. Lauren for creating and composing such a rugged yet refined outfit. The chunky but tailored shawl collared cardigan, rustic plaid button-down, crest tie, and newsboy cap paired with the white pants and mountaineering boots was classic American heritage RL and a final testament to our dominance at the games. Not only do we kick ass but we look daaaaaamn fine doing it.
I have to admit though, when I think of the Vancouver 2010 games, one thing will come to mind. Amidst all the Canadian iconography that swirled around, none defined the games better than the official Canadian mittens. I wish Ralph had thought of those too:
